How Does TTY Relay Work?
TTY user dial the TTY number, 711 or 800-326-6868. Relay Nevada will answer. Type in the area code and telephone number you wish to call and type “GA” (Go Ahead.) The Relay Operator dials the number and connects to the other party.

You type your conversation to the Relay Operator. Remember to type “GA” (Go Ahead) at the end of each message.

The Relay Operator then voices your typed message to the other party.

After you type “GA”, it is the other party’s turn to respond.

The Relay Operator relays the other party’s spoken words by typing them back to you.

The Relay Nevada Customer Profile form allows consumers to list their preferences for calls, such as:
- Frequently dialed numbers
- Emergency numbers
- Preferred gender of operator
